High Commissioner Pranay Verma Pays Courtesy Call on Civil Aviation Minister

Diplomatic Correspondent: High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh, Pranay Verma, paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Civil Aviation and Tourism, H.E. Mrs. Afroza Khanum Rita, on 09 April 2026. The meeting was also attended by the Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Tourism, H.E. M. Rashiduzzaman Millat.

During the meeting, both sides held productive discussions on strengthening bilateral cooperation in the civil aviation sector. Key areas of focus included enhancing air connectivity between the two countries, expanding air cargo capacity, improving aviation infrastructure, and exploring opportunities for capacity building.

High Commissioner Verma briefed the ministers on the significant developments taking place in India’s aviation sector, highlighting its position as one of the fastest-growing civil aviation markets in the world. He emphasized that these advancements present valuable opportunities for collaboration, which could contribute to the growth and modernization of Bangladesh’s aviation sector based on mutual interest and shared benefits.
