Diplomatic Correspondent: Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, has extended warm greetings to Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and the people of Bangladesh on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
In a letter addressed to Prime Minister Rahman, Modi conveyed his heartfelt wishes on behalf of the Government and people of India, describing Bangladesh as a “brotherly nation.” He highlighted the significance of Eid-ul-Fitr as a celebration that follows the holy month of Ramadan, during which Muslims around the world engage in fasting, prayer, and spiritual reflection.
The Indian Prime Minister noted that the festival symbolizes universal values such as compassion, brotherhood, and togetherness. He expressed hope for global peace, harmony, good health, and happiness for all people.
Emphasizing the importance of bilateral relations, Modi also expressed his desire for the continued strengthening of friendship and camaraderie between India and Bangladesh.
