Iran Launches New Wave of Attacks on US Base Using Hypersonic Missiles

News Desk: Iran has reportedly used hypersonic missiles in a new wave of attacks, according to the country’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). This marks the 25th round of attacks by Iran.
On Thursday (March 7) afternoon, Iranian state media cited a brief IRGC statement reporting the strike.
The statement said that the IRGC targeted US military bases and military support centers using missiles and drones, including hypersonic Fateh missiles and ballistic Emad missiles.
Hypersonic missiles are capable of traveling five times faster than the speed of sound, reaching speeds of 6,174 km/h (3,836 mph).
For context, on Saturday, February 28, the United States and Israel launched a joint attack on Iran. The strike on Tehran reportedly killed several top Iranian officials, including the country’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In retaliation, Iran began attacks on Israel and has continued to strike US bases and other locations across the Middle East through its Revolutionary Guard Corps.
