Mujtaba Khamenei survives as he went for a walk in the garden minutes before the attack

News Desk: Former Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was reportedly killed in an attack carried out by Israel and the United States, while his son and current Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei narrowly escaped death. According to a leaked audio recording, he survived because he had gone out for a walk in the garden just before the strike. This information emerged in a recent report by the British newspaper The Telegraph, based on that leaked audio.

Mojtaba Khamenei, Iran’s new Supreme Leader, is said to have narrowly survived a U.S. and Israeli airstrike. The leaked audio claims that although he was a target, he survived because he had stepped বাইরে minutes before the attack.

According to the report, at 9:32 a.m. local time on February 28, an Israeli “Blue Sparrow” ballistic missile struck Khamenei’s residence. He was outside the house at the time.

The attack reportedly killed his father, Ali Khamenei, along with several top leaders of the Islamic Republic. Among the নিহত were IRGC chief Mohammad Pakpour, Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh, and military office head Mohammad Shirazi.

Details of the attack were revealed in a recording of statements by Mazaher Hosseini, protocol chief of Khamenei’s office. He reportedly shared this information during a meeting of senior clerics and military officials in Tehran’s Kolahak area on March 12.

The leaked audio further claims that Mojtaba Khamenei suffered injuries to his leg. However, his wife and son were killed at the scene, along with his brother-in-law. It also mentions that Mohammad Shirazi’s body was “torn apart” in the blast.

Mojtaba Khamenei lived in the same complex in Tehran as his father, which also included religious centers and residences of other family members. The audio claims that multiple coordinated strikes hit different parts of the complex during a meeting on February 28.

Hosseini said the attack targeted the entire Khamenei family, with missiles striking several buildings, including residences of relatives within the complex.

Since the attack, Mojtaba Khamenei has not appeared in public. No direct statement from him has been released after his appointment; only a written message has been broadcast on state television.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump has said uncertainty remains regarding his condition. An Iranian official stated that even military commanders have no information about his physical state. U.S. intelligence reportedly believes that Ali Khamenei did not want his son as successor, considering him “unqualified.”

Following the release of the leaked audio, new questions have arisen about Mojtaba Khamenei’s physical condition and his ability to lead.
