Martyr Ismam was buried with state dignity in Lohagara

Lohagara (Chittagong) Correspondent:  Shaheed Mohammad Ismam, who was killed in the anti-discrimination student movement, was buried with state honours. Before this, funeral prayers of the deceased were held at Shahpir Pilot High School ground of the upazila at 10:30. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Central Naib Ameer and former MP Maulana A.N. Shamsul Islam, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Chittagong Metropolitan Ameer and former MP Shahajahan Chowdhury, various political parties and anti-discrimination student movement coordinators and general students were present.

Later, he was buried in his native village Darji Para after a national salute by the army. It is to be noted that Ishmam is the son of late Md. Nurul Haque of Darjipara, Lohagara. Shaheed Ishmam was the 2nd among three brothers studying in South Satkania Golambari High School. He lost his father at a young age.

Recently, due to family's financial poverty, he went to Dhaka to take a job in a shop. He was under treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital after being shot in Chankharpool area of ​​Dhaka on August 5. He was taken on life support when his condition deteriorated around 11 pm on Tuesday. Then he breathed his last yesterday at 4 pm on Wednesday.
