Kurigram Correspondent: The police rescued Rahimul Islam Mafooz (34), who was kidnapped in Ulipur of Kurigram. He was rescued from Surirdara area of Dhamsreni Union on Sunday (October 4) morning. Rahimul Hatia is the son of Abul Hossain of Byaparipara village in Union.
It is known that on July 23, miscreants abducted Rahimul Islam Mafuz from the business area of Hatia Union in the upazila. Rahimul's wife Reba Begum filed a kidnapping case at the police station as the plaintiff on August 1. Rahimul Islam Mafuz, the victim of kidnapping, has been accused of embezzling money by giving jobs to several people. Sub-Inspector (SI) Moshiur Rahman, investigating the case, said.
On Sunday morning, based on the information given by Reba Begum, wife of the plaintiff in the case, Rahimul was rescued 100 yards east of the madrasa in Surirdara of Dhamsreni Union, with his hands and feet on the side of the road. The investigation of this case is ongoing. Police Inspector (Investigation) of Ulipur Police Station Tambirul Islam said that the rescued Rahimul Islam Mafuz will be sent to the court on Monday (August 5).
