Case against cricketer Nasir-Tamima

Sports Desk: A case has been filed against cricketers Nasir Hossain and Tamima for marrying someone else's wife without a divorce certificate. Another husband of Tamima, Rakib Hasan, filed the case in the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Jasim on Wednesday (February 24).

Rakib himself has confirmed the matter to the media. Earlier, Rakib Hasan had said that he would take legal action in case of marriage to another person without getting a divorce. He then said that he had lodged a GD with the Uttara West police station. Nasir and Tamima got married on February 14. After that Rakib brought up the issue of marriage without divorce. Since then, there has been a storm of criticism on social media.

However, the wedding reception of the Nasir-Tamima couple was held at the Lakeshore Hotel in Gulshan last Saturday (February 20), ignoring the GD, the criticism on social media, and the news published in various media. Before the wedding reception, Nasir called Rakib and asked him to cover up the matter of making a GD. Rakib's question was do you know everything about Tamima's relationship? In reply, Nasir Hossain said, "I married her knowing everything.

" She has kids, she had boyfriends before, everything I know. If your wife was good with you, surely your 11-year-old family would not have broken up and come to me. Rakib Hasan and Tamima's cabinet letter shows that they got married on February 26, 2011, at a price of Tk 3 lakh. Rakib claims that in the last 11 years, he has helped his wife in everything from her studies to her job.
