Sports Desk: Bangladesh and West Indies have faced each other in the Test series after winning the ODI series 3-0 in Daputa. The host Bangladesh cricket team has decided to bat first after winning the toss in the first Test of the two-match series.

In Sagarika, the host Bangladesh made the XI with 6 batsmen, 3 spinners and 1 fast bowler. World-class all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is returning to the Test series with this match after overcoming uncertainty. On the other hand, 3 cricketers are making their debut in the West Indies XI.

The white dress shows the last 5 of the two teams, Bangladesh's two wins as opposed to the Caribbean's three wins. Although the hosts seem to be lagging behind in statistics, the believers can find comfort in one place. And that is the last two Test wins at home against the West Indies. The Tigers won the last Test series between the two teams in 2016, 2-0 at home. Winning that series in Daputa will definitely inspire the hosts in this series as well.

Bangladesh XI: Tamim Iqbal, Sadman Islam, Nazmul Hossain Shant, Muminul Haque (captain), Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Liton Das (wicket keeper), Mehedi Hasan Miraj, Naeem Hasan, Taizul Islam and Mustafizur Rahman.

West Indies Test squad: Craig Brathwaite (captain), John Campbell, Jermaine Blackwood (co-captain), Shayne Moselle, Enkrumah Bonner, Joshua de Silva, Kyle Myers, Rahkim Cornwall, Jomel Warrickan, Kemar Roach and Shane.
