Former DU professor Kashinath Roy passed away

News Desk: Kashinath Roy, (73), a former professor of English at Dhaka University, has died. He died at the Square Hospital in the capital on Sunday morning. The only son of the University of Engineering Associate Professor.

He has left innumerable admirers including Apratim Roy, daughter-in-law Prakriti Chakraborty, grandson Avro Roy. Kashinath Roy was born in 1946 in Natore. He studied in Pabna District School, Edward College and English Department of Dhaka University.

He has taught at Jahangirnagar University, Dhaka University and Eastern University. Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. expressed deep grief over his death. Akhtaruzzaman.
