Sports Desk: Bangladesh Test cricket team captain Mominul Haque has returned home after successful surgery on his right hand finger. Muminul landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport today (Sunday) at around 10.45 am. Although the flight was scheduled to land at 7.20 am, due to some unavoidable reasons, it took 9.40 minutes to land and reach Muminul's country.

The Test captain went straight from the airport to his residence in Bashundhara. According to his close sources, he will have to rest for about 4 weeks. In other words, Muminul is likely to return to the field in the second week of January. The West Indies cricket team is coming on tour in the first half of January. In order for the captain to play in the two-match Test series against the Caribbean, he was sent to Dubai for surgery instead of being sent to Australia or England.

Because during the coronation period, those countries have to spend two weeks in quarantine according to the protocol. In that case, it was not possible to return to the country within four or five days after undergoing surgery in Australia or England. Matter of at least three weeks. So Muminul was sent to Dubai. Because there is no quarantine in Dubai. Muminul went to Dubai on December 6 and underwent an operation the next day and returned home three days later.

All in all, it all ended in 5 days. Which would have taken more than three weeks to get to England or Australia. Then it would have been difficult for Mominul to play Tests against the West Indies.
