Police have arrested five people in connection with the murder of college student Jisan in the capital

News Desk: Police have arrested five people from Manikganj on charges of killing college student Jisan for snatching a mobile phone in the capital. Later, the court remanded the three for two days. The other two confessed to the murder and testified in court.

Azizul, Hasan, Rabbi, Shariful and Nazmul, who were arrested in the Jisan murder case, were taken to the district's Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court on Friday afternoon. Azizul and Hasan pleaded guilty to murder before the judge.

The police remanded the other three for 10 days as they did not accept responsibility for the murder. At the end of the hearing, the judge granted remand to each of them for two days.

Additional Superintendent of Police Tania Sultana of Manikganj Shibalaya Circle said five people killed her and dumped her body in the river. We send the five arrested to court and two of them have given confessional statements in court. The court granted three-day remand to the three.

According to the police, the accused rabbi was robbed of his mobile phone and cash while walking with his friend Jisan in his confession. The rabbi suspected Jisan in this incident. He later planned to kill her along with several others. On 15 November, the rabbi called Jisan to Shibala and stabbed him to death. Later his body was floated in the river.

Jisan, a class XI student of Mohammadpur Haji Maqbool Hossain Degree College in the capital, went missing on November 15. Later on the 18th his body was recovered from the river Jamuna in Manikganj. In this incident, Jisan's father became the plaintiff and filed a murder case against unknown persons. The five accused were arrested on Thursday night with the help of information technology.
