Gazipur Correspondent: Child marriage of a 14-year-old girl studying in eighth grade was stopped in Koraitala area of Sreepur upazila of Gazipur. The father of the girl was fined Rs. 20,000 / - and the bridegroom was fined Rs. 30,000 / -. The girl is kept in the custody of the headmaster of her school so that she is not allowed to have a child marriage by keeping a bond from the pot and the girl's father. The mobile court was conducted by Farzana Nasreen, Assistant Commissioner (Land), Sreepur, Gazipur.
