Accused in Bogra 7-year-old child rape case arrested from Mymensingh

Bogra Representative: An accused in a 7-year-old child rape case has been arrested in a joint operation by RAB in Bogra. He was arrested from Beridabad Kalibari area of ​​Kotyali police station in Mymensingh district around 12:30 pm on Tuesday. The arrested accused is Swapan Mia (31). He is the son of Musa Mia of Tindah area of ​​Gaibandha district.

This information was informed in a press release sent from Bogra RAB-12 Bogra camp on Wednesday. Earlier last Friday (March 15) the 7-year-old child was forcibly raped by accused Swapan Mia in an empty house in Sherpur. Then the child's family filed a case at Sherpur police station. According to the press release, after this incident, RAB's alert team launched an operation to catch the accused.

In continuation of this, RAB-12 Bogra and RAB-14 Tangail jointly arrested the accused Swapan from Beridabad Kalibari area of ​​Kotyali police station of Mymensingh district on Tuesday around 12:30 pm. In this context, RAB 12 Bogra Company Commander (Superintendent of Police) Mir Monir Hossain said that the accused has been handed over to Sherpur police station to take legal action.
