Light showers scattered across the capital

News Desk: Rain has been seen in various places in the capital. There were clouds in the sky of Dhaka since Thursday (March 14) morning. One or two drops of rain fell somewhere in the capital in the morning.

But after noon the sky of Dhaka is covered with clouds. Around 2:30 PM, it started raining in different areas of the capital. In this rain, the city dwellers are suffering. Meanwhile, from 9 am on Thursday, the weather forecast for the next 24 hours has said that there may be rain with temporary gusty wind or rain with thunder at two places in Comilla and Noakhali region along with Khulna, Barisal, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions. Elsewhere in the country, the weather will remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky. During this time, the day temperature may drop slightly across the country and the night temperature may remain almost unchanged, said the Meteorological Department. In addition, the agency also said that there may be a trend of rain and storm in different parts of the country for the next few days.

On the other hand, the weather forecast for the inland river ports of the country till 6 pm on Thursday said - 45 to 60 km per hour from west or north-west over Jessore, Kushtia, Faridpur, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali and Comilla regions. Showers with gusty winds or thunderstorms may occur temporarily. Ports in these areas have been asked to display signal number 1.
