News Desk: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has urged to increase the production of jute products and find new markets. He said, the demand for jute products will never end. Jute is snatching golden days. Its demand will never end. The prime minister said these things at a function organized on the occasion of Jute Day at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) in the capital on Thursday (March 14) morning.

Calling for focus on the production of exportable products, Sheikh Hasina said that it is your responsibility to discover new products and create new markets. Jute products are versatile and what can be made, needs to be focused on which product has more export demand. Golden fiber will play a big role in building Sonar Bangla. Bangabandhukanya said about giving incentives to jute as an agricultural product, many markets are waiting for us. Multipurpose production and use of jute should be ensured. Jute agricultural products are again the raw material of industry. Export is also done. It does not get incentives for agriculture, nor does it get incentives for exports. I will give recognition and incentives to agricultural and export-oriented products that are eco-friendly. Sheikh Hasina said jute industry was led to destruction, which was not good at all. Jute mills have been modernized. New opportunities have been created for jute and jute industry by inventing the mystery for jute. I believe that golden fibers will play a big role in building Sonar Bengal. will further accelerate our prosperity. The hunger of the father of the nation will be helpful in building a poverty-free and prosperous Bangladesh.

In the event, the Chief Minister gave awards to 11 individuals and organizations in 11 categories for continuing the progress of the jute sector and for making special contributions to this sector. Besides, he gave greetings to the parties involved in jute. A three-day multipurpose jute products exhibition and fair was organized at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) from March 14 to 16.
