News desk: Metrorail is running from today in a new time. Metrorail authorities said that the train will leave every 8 minutes from 2 pm from the first of Ramadan. This information was given in a circular issued by Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited on Sunday (March 10).

According to the notification, the metro rail will run at a new time from the first Ramadan. Metro movement will start in the morning as normal during Ramadan. However, the train will leave every 8 minutes from 2 pm. And from the 16th of Ramadan, the running time of the metro will be extended by one hour. The notification also informed that the time period of metro rail movement will be increased by one hour from 16 Ramadan to the day before Eid-ul-Fitr. At that time 10 more metro trains will run. In that time, the number of metro trains will be 194 times a day.

At this time, 4 lakh 47 thousand 752 passengers can travel a day. Managing Director MAN Siddique said that the train running time will be increased by one hour in both directions for the last 15 days. The last train from Motijheel will leave at 9:40 PM and the last train from Uttara will leave at 9:00 PM.
