Wadud Bhuiyan Trust provides scholarships to meritorious students

Gazipur Correspondent:  Under the Wadul Bhuiyan Trust in Kaliganj, Gazipur, a total of 5 lakh 10,000 taka scholarships and grants have been awarded to local 7 poor and poor students, two educational institutions and a social organization. On Sunday (December 10) morning, the Wadud Bhuiyan scholarship project was organized at Banbeiz of the upazila. The program was presided over by the founder chairman of the project, Dr. Mohammad Waduduzzaman Bhuiyan, and the director of Janata Bank, Muhammad Asad Ullah, was present as the chief guest. 

Under the direction of Nabiul Islam Khan, the vice chairman of the Trust, Adviser Vir Muktijodha Engineer Monir Uddin Ahmed spoke as an honored guest. At that time, Trustees Mashhudur Rahman Sajed and Maruful Haque Bhuiyan, along with teachers, students, parents and media workers of various educational institutions were present.

It is known that this year two students with 85% marks in SSC from two local educational institutes are given 1 lakh taka 50 thousand each and those two students will be given 50 thousand taka every year until HSC. Also, a student studying in medical school is given 60 thousand taka. . The Wadud Bhuiyan scholarship scheme will continue to cover all the expenses of his studies till he passes his medical.

On the other hand, an annual grant of Tk 1 lakh 80 thousand was given to Baghun High School of Moktarpur Union, Tk 1 lakh was given to Pratibha Model High School of Dolan Bazar of Jamalpur Union, also Tk 60 thousand was given to 4 students and a social organization was given Tk 10 thousand. It should be noted that since 2009, the Wadud Bhuiyan scholarship scheme has been giving educational scholarships to the talented people of the upazila for 15 years.
