Moulvibazar: Recently, on World Teachers' Day, news was published in several media about a teacher named Fazlu Mia of Rajnagar police station of Moulvibazar district under the title of "Two Taka Teacher". When the news came to the notice of Superintendent of Police Md. Manjur Rahman PPM (Bar), he inquired about the teacher through the local OC and journalists. On inquiry, he wished to stand by humanities teacher Fazlu Mia. On October 12, the teacher came to the office of the Superintendent of Police on the invitation of the Superintendent of Police. Then the Superintendent of Police exchanged greetings with teacher Fazlu Mia and gave her some essential food items as a gift on behalf of the district police.
Superintendent of Police Md. Manjur Rahman PPM Bar said, "We have inquired about teacher Fazlu Mia after reading in the newspaper. He used to teach the children of the backward community for just two rupees. As a result, he became known as a two-taka teacher to everyone in the area. But now knowing about his inhumane life due to scarcity, I feel that a humane teacher like him should stand by his side. Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration and Finance) Sudarshan Kumar Roy, journalist Saleh Ahmed Kuti, Hossain Ahmed and others were also present.
