Monetary policy announcement today

News Desk: Bangladesh Bank is going to announce the monetary policy for the second half (January-June) of the financial year 2022-23.

Governor Abdur Rauf Talukder will announce the monetary policy in a press conference at the central bank's head office on Sunday (January 15).

In the press conference, the Governor of Bangladesh Bank will brief the journalists on monetary policy to manage inflation, increase the flow of credit to the private sector and strengthen economic growth.

Earlier in June 2022, a 'cautious' monetary policy was announced for the fiscal year 2022-23.

Monetary policy projects currency movements. Monetary policy is the act of controlling inflation, financing public-private debt through debt projection, and controlling the circulation of currency.
