Alan Donald likes Zakir

Sports Desk: Zakir Hasan made his debut against India in Chittagong Test. And this Sylhet cricketer spread light with the bat in the debut match. In addition to 20 runs in the first innings, Zakir also scored a Test century on debut as the fourth Bangladeshi cricketer in the second innings.

After such an innings, Zakir was praised by everyone from Virat Kohli to Rahul Dravid. Even BCB President Nazmul Hasan Papon was full of praise. Finally, pace bowling coach Alan Donald praised Zakir.

Coming to the press conference on the day before the start of the second Test, this coach of the Tigers said, 'That (batting in the second innings of the Chittagong Test) is a great 'blueprint' for us. Young Zakir has surprised many. I saw him for the first time. I like his attitude. I liked his bravery and aggressive mentality.'

Donald thinks that Zakir wants to know that he has come to stay. He said, 'He wants to show that he has come to fight. He has shown that he can bat against their (India's) best bowlers. He brings a great breath of fresh air to the team and always believes in himself.'

In the first innings only 150 runs, but Bangladesh turned around in the second innings. Donald says, 'If we have to look back, it started in the second innings (of the first Test). We can rely on that. We have shown that we can keep pace with India. But yes! It's a completely different pitch (in Mirpur). Let's see what awaits us.'
