Sanju Roy, Bogra: Jamon Cafe and Restaurant, adjacent to Fulbari Mujibur Rahman Mahila College in the city, has been fined Tk 20,000 for the crime of storing rotten meat in a restaurant and using expired bread to serve burgers to customers. The fine was imposed by the National Directorate of Consumer Rights during a surprise raid on the restaurant on Tuesday afternoon. Iftekharul Alam Rizvi, assistant director of National Directorate of Consumer Rights Protection, Bogra office, who is leading the operation, said that during the operation of food shops in Subil area of ​​Sadar, rotten meat and expired bread were found in Jamon Cafe and Restaurant. They prepare burger-like food with these breads. Due to this, the restaurant was given a strict warning and fined 20 thousand taka in the first step. He also said that such operations will continue in Bogra for public interest. Members of law enforcement were present in the operation.
