Ubaidullah Rumi, Ishwarganj (Mymensingh): Abu Siddique (35), the main accused in the case of expatriate wife rape in Ishwarganj, Mymensingh, has been arrested. Ishwarganj police sent him to court on Monday. It is known that Abu Siddikak, son of Moish Uddin of Dattagram village, lustfully looked at the expatriate's wife of Maizbagh union of the upazila. For a long time, Abu Siddique had been making immoral suggestions to the expatriate's wife. When the wife informed her husband about the matter, accused Abu Siddique got angry and entered the expatriate's wife's house on the night of October 12 and forcibly raped her. At that time, Muharam Ali (38) and Ruhul Amin (32) of the same village stood guard outside the house and cooperated in the rape, it has been mentioned in the ezhar. The victim said that after the rape, the rapist Abu Siddique threatened to kill her and her child if she filed a case. Later, the rapist informed the family and UP chairman about the matter and filed a case against three accused in Ishwarganj police station on 16th October night. Later in the night, SI Sadi Mohammad conducted a raid and arrested the main accused Abu Siddique from his residence and sent him to the court on Monday. Mostachinur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Ishwarganj police station, said that efforts are underway to arrest the other accused.
