The main accused in the case of rape of a disabled girl in Hatibandha has been arrested

On Tuesday night, the rapist named Mokarram Hossain Shahin (40) was arrested from Tamar Chowpati area of ​​Sindurna Union of Hatibandha Upazila of Lalmonirhat District. Arrested Shaheen is the son-in-law of Jalal Uddin of South Sinduni area of ​​Hatibandha. Senior Assistant Director of RAB-13 Flight Lt. Mahmud Bashir Ahmed informed this information in a circular on Wednesday afternoon. According to RAB, Mokarram Hossain Shahin, a resident of Tamar Chowpati area of ​​Sindurna Union, was accused of raping a 14-year-old mentally challenged girl at her home in Hatibandha of Lalmonirhat. RAB started a massive shadow investigation into the complaint. On August 15, the victim's mother filed a rape case at Hatibandha police station of Lalmonirhat district. Based on the said case, a raiding party of RAB-13, Rangpur arrested him on Tuesday night. According to RAB, during preliminary interrogation, the arrested accused confessed to forcibly raping the victim. After the arrest, the accused narrated the entire incident of that day during the preliminary interrogation. According to her description, it is known that on June 20, accused Mukarram Hossain Shahin called the disabled girl to his house and forcibly raped her. Mukarram's wife was not present at home at that time. After the rape, he threatened the girl not to tell anyone. After 2/3 months, when the girl's physical condition suddenly changed, the girl's mother and local women inquired about it, and the girl told them that 2/3 months ago, Shahin's wife was not at home, so she was taken to Shahin's house and raped. The accused has been handed over to Hatibandha police station in Lalmonirhat district for taking legal action against them. Officer-in-charge of Hatibandha Police Station Shaha Alam said, after the RAB arrested the accused, Shaheen confessed to the rape. He was sent to jail by the district court.
