3 members of Easybike thief gang arrested in Pabna; Two easybikes were recovered

Tofazzal Hossain Babu, Pabna: Police arrested three members of the battery-powered Easybike thief gang in Pabna and Natore districts. Two stolen easy bikes have also been recovered. They were arrested on Thursday night. The arrested are Ratan Ali (28) son of deceased Torap Ali of Pakshi Amtala village of Ishwardi upazila of the district, Jewel Hossain (32) son of deceased Saiful Islam of Khojapur village of Motihar police station of Rajshahi and Azizul Islam (36) son of Amjad Hossain of Singa Dhakapara village of Nator Sadar upazila. Inspector (Investigation) of Pabna Sadar Police Station Abul Kalam said that a case was registered last Thursday (August 11) regarding the theft of an easy bike. That same night, the joint team of Sadar police station and detective police started to investigate the case and recover the easy bike. They first arrested Ratan Ali, the mastermind of the thief gang, from Pakshi and seized two easybikes. Later, according to his confession, two other members of the gang, Jewel and Azizul, were arrested for selling and possessing easybikes. At this time, 46 thousand 400 taka used in the purchase of easy bikes was also seized from them. There are multiple cases of theft against them. They were sent to jail on Friday (August 12) afternoon.
