Publication of false news about the president, protest of Job Teachers' Association

Job Representative: President of Jagannath University Teachers' Association Professor Dr. Md. Jobishis protested for publishing false news about Abul Hossain. Monday (July 18) General Secretary of Jagannath University Teachers' Association Professor Dr. Abul Kalam Md. This protest has been announced in a notice signed by Lutfar Rahman. According to the protest letter, a meeting of the Executive Council of Jagannath University Teachers Association was held today on 18-7-2022 at 11 am. In the meeting, the news published recently in various newspapers about the President of Jagannath University Teachers Association was brought to the notice of the Executive Council of Teachers Association. In this context, the association feels that it is necessary to clarify the matter. There are two types of posts in the university namely administrative and academic. It is further said that the administrative post refers to the posts under the authority of the University administration i.e. Vice-Chancellor, such as Hall Provost, Proctor, Assistant Proctor, Director (Student Welfare) Transport Administrator, Director (Research) Director (IT) etc. On the other hand, the posts of Dean and Chairman are appointed on the basis of seniority as per University Act 2005. These are not posts given by the university administration. The matter is very clear. Therefore, before publishing the published news, the respected journalists needed to know these issues in detail. A teacher has been dishonored by providing false information without having clear knowledge about the University's management system. When Bangabandhu's daughter Hon'ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is moving the country forward through the development of education by making the country a role model for development to the world, then disparaging the university teacher by publishing such purposeful news is to disrupt the current progress of the university as well as the country. Jagannath University Teachers' Association strongly protest against such despicable act. It is asked to be more careful in future news coverage. Otherwise, the association will be forced to take legal action in the interest of the Jagannath University and the teachers. Jagannath University Teachers' Association President Professor Dr. Md. Abul Hossain said, "I am very angry and embarrassed that my dear journalists tried to humiliate me in front of the public by reporting such a news without knowing the actual situation and not understanding the layout of the university's roads." Jagannath University Teachers Association's image has been tarnished after such false reporting which is not expected from the journalists of this campus. I request to refrain from serving such false information in future and at the same time I will be forced to take legal action against the concerned journalist if such misbehavior is not stopped. In this regard, Jagannath University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Imdadul Haque said, the post of dean is regulated by our law. VC has nothing to do here. As per the rules, it will be what it is. VC can't give if he wants, he can't drop if he wants. He got the power legally. The post of Dean-Chairman will get what it deserves. Other posts such as Transport Administrator can be given by the Vice Chancellor to whomever he wishes. Incidentally, according to section 22 (5) of the Jagannath University Act 2005, subject to the approval of the syndicate, the senior professor among the social science faculty departments. Md. Abul Hossain has been appointed as the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences for the next 02 (two) years. He is currently the president of the Jagannath University Teachers Association and the president of a section of the pro-Awami teachers' organization Neel Dal. Before this, it was said in the manifesto of the job election, "Professor Dr. Md. Abul Hossain-Professor Dr. Abul Kalam Md. If the Lutfar Rahman panel is elected, the elected members will refrain from taking administrative positions in order to prioritize the issues related to the interests of the teachers. We will try our best to implement our manifesto.'However, the teachers alleged that misleading news was published in the online editions of several newspapers and online portals, referring to administrative posts as academic posts.
