Dinajpur Correspondent: Jatiya Party Central Committee Vice Chairman Ahmed Shafi Rubel said that Ershad did not believe in the politics of disappearances to stay in power. He left power the same way he came to power. He made 68,000 villages the focus of development to take Bangladesh to the ranks of the developed world. He has been in power for 9 years and has done 100 developments including declaring the country an Islamic state with the Friday weekend holiday, which no other head of government has been able to do till date. His death anniversary should be observed in state. Yesterday, July 14 (Thursday) Ahmed Shafi Rubel said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the discussion ceremony organized on the occasion of the third death anniversary of the former president and founder chairman of Jatiya Party Hussain Mohammad Ershad. Advocate Nurul Islam, vice-president of the district committee, presided over the discussion meeting held at Kalitlash party office in Dinajpur city. Among others, Deputy General Secretary of District Committee Dr. Anwar Hossain, Central Committee Member Advocate Sudhir Chandra Sheel, District Committee Vice President Saifullah Chowdhury, Municipal Committee President Mir Tahidul Islam Swapan spoke.
