33 thousand students in the admission war of DU 'C' unit

News Desk: Admission test of ‘C’ unit of the Faculty of Business Education of the first year of graduation (honors) of 2021-22 academic year of Dhaka University has started. Like last year, this time also the admission test is being held simultaneously in the government university centers in eight departments of the country The one-and-a-half-hour test, which started at 11 a.m. on Friday (June 3), will run until 12 noon.

This year's admission war is starting with the examination of 'C' unit of the business education faculty. This year, 33,793 candidates have applied for 930 seats in C unit. As per him, 36 students are fighting for each seat Last year, there were an average of 21 candidates per seat. Like last year, this time too, MCQ of 60 marks and written test of 40 marks will be taken in the admission test of 100 marks in ‘C’ unit. MCQ exam will be 45 minutes and written exam will be 45 minutes. Merit list will be prepared by adding 20 marks on the results obtained in this examination for secondary and higher secondary or equivalent results. Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Md. Akhtaruzzaman will visit the examination center at 11:15 a.m. at the Faculty of Business Education building. He will brief the media on exam preparations across the country. Last year, the number of seats in the ‘C’ unit of Dhaka University was 1,250. This time 320 seats have been reduced to 930 seats.

The examinations will be held on Saturday in Dhaka University's Arts Faculty 'B' Unit, June 10 Science Faculty 'A' Unit, June 11 Social Science Faculty 'Unit' D Unit and on June 16 Fine Arts Faculty 'F' Unit. Except for the ‘C’ unit, all other tests will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. However, the general knowledge test in Fine Unit will be from 11 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. This year, 2 lakh 90 thousand 340 students have applied to take part in the admission test of DU.

Where the total number of seats is 8 thousand 35. Of these, 1 lakh 15 thousand 610 people have applied for 1 thousand 751 seats of 'A' unit. Besides, 56,551 people against 1,08 seats in 'B' unit, 33,793 people against 930 seats in 'C' unit, 7,029 people against 1,337 seats in 'D' unit and 7,000 people against 130 seats in 'F' unit. 358 students have applied.
