Panchagarh Correspondent: On the occasion of Bengali New Year celebrations, all kinds of import-export activities will be stopped one day through Banglabandha land port of Panchagarh, said the import-export group. However, the passage of passport holders between the two countries will be normal through checkposts.
On Wednesday night (April 13), Abdul Latif Tarin, president of the Banglabandha Land Port Import-Export Group, and Kudrat-i-Khuda, general secretary, confirmed the closure.
According to the members of the port's import-export group, all kinds of import-export activities of the port will be closed from tomorrow (Thursday, April 14) morning on the occasion of Bengali New Year celebrations. Due to the public holiday on Friday (April 15), import-export activities will resume at the port from next Saturday (April 16) morning. This decision has been taken with the consent of the importers, exporters and traders of both the countries.
