'Impact' of amulet rapes teenage girl, confession of father

News Desk: Habiganj's Chunarughat father raped his teenage daughter under the influence of amulets. He also took his friend with him. The rapist Abdul Khaleq has given such a statement in his confessional statement given in the court. His statement under Section 164 was taken in the court of Habiganj Senior Judicial Magistrate Sultan Uddin Pradhan from noon to night on Thursday (December 9).

The court later ordered him to be sent to jail. The investigating officer of the case, Chunarughat Police Inspector (Investigation) Champak Dham, said that there was a misunderstanding between the girl's mother and Abdul Khaleq's family. Husband and wife quarrel over this. Proud of this, his wife went to her father's house. Accused Khaleq then collected amulets from some lords to get his wife back. Citing the accused, he said that the accused claimed that the amulet had an effect on him. As a result, he lost his head and raped his teenage daughter more than once.

Earlier, the accused father was produced at the court premises by the police. Another accused in the case (father's friend) Abdul Qadir was sent to jail at noon. The father and his friend were accused of raping a 13-year-old girl on December 1. The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested the two along with their father on December 6 in the afternoon. The teenager filed a case with Chunarughat police station at night.
