Bashemurabiprabi is the 26th public university

Bangladesh University Grants Commission (UGC) has released the Annual Performance Agreement (APA) for the financial year 2020-21. In this assessment, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University of Science and Technology (BASHEMURBIPRABI) is ranked 26th out of 48 public universities in the country.

Monday UGC Secretary (additional responsibilities) said. This information has been revealed in a report signed by Ferdous Zaman. It is learned that APA has been introduced in FY 2014-15 with the aim of increasing transparency and accountability in government activities, ensuring proper utilization of resources and good governance and development of institutional capacity.

According to the report, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University has become the first to get 97.38 marks in the annual performance evaluation of FY 2020-21. Chittagong University has secured the second position with 93.6 marks. Kuwait has secured the third position with 92.15.

Besides, Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib University of Science and Technology is in the fourth place with 6.8 marks, Dhaka University is in the fifth place with 6.6 marks, Sylhet Medical University is in the sixth position, Chittagong Medical College University is in the seventh position and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur is in the eighth position. Rahman Digital University Bangladesh, Jagannath University is in the ninth position, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology is in the tenth position.

Khulna Agricultural University is in 11th position, Bangladesh Textile University is in 12th position, Jessore University of Science and Technology is in 13th position, Patuakhali University of Science and Technology is in 14th position, Noakhali University of Science and Technology is in 15th position and Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University is in 16th position. There is Bangladesh University of Professionals, Sheikh Hasina University is in 18th position, Rabindranath University Bangladesh is in 19th position and Bangladesh Open University is in 20th position.

Besides, Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University is in 21st position, Rangamati University of Science and Technology is in 22nd position, Jahangirnagar University is in 23rd position, Bangladesh Agricultural University is in 24th position, Begum Rokeya University is in 25th position and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University of Science and Technology is in 26th position.

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University Bangladesh is in 26th position, Sylhet Agricultural University is in 26th position, Bangladesh University of Engineering is in 29th position, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Aviation and Arompas University is in 30th position and Rajshahi Medical University is in 31st position.

Meanwhile, Rajshahi University is in 33rd position, Khulna University is in 34th position, National University is in 35th position, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University is in 36th position, Haji Mohammad Danesh University of Science and Technology is in 36th position, Maulana Bhasani University of Science and Technology is in 39th position and Chittagong is in 39th position. University of Engineering and Technology, Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology in 40th position.

However, Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology is in 41st position, Comilla University is in 42nd position, National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam University is in 43rd position, Pabna University of Science and Technology is in 44th position, Barisal University is in 45th position and lastly Islamic Arabic University is in 47th position.
