China will keep its embassy in Kabul open, increasing cooperation

International Desk: China has promised to keep its embassy open in Afghanistan. In addition, they said, humanitarian assistance would be increased in the war-torn country. Taliban spokesman Suhail Shaheen shared the information on Twitter on Friday (September 3rd).

The Chinese deputy minister said they would keep the embassy in Kabul open. He hopes that Sino-Afghan relations will grow more than in the past. According to Jiang Hao, Afghanistan can play an important role in the security and development of the region.

China has also issued a separate statement on the phone call. It said it was "confirming" relations with Afghanistan and wished Afghans well for the country's reconstruction.
