Even after the start of imports, demand of Raw chilis is not decreasing in Hily

Healy Correspondent: The price of raw chilli is volatile in the country's market due to shortage of supply. At the same time, the government allowed the import of the product to keep the price normal. After that the import of raw chilli started through different land ports of the country but its price is not decreasing in the country's market. 23,582 kg of raw chillies were imported in two trucks through Hili land port yesterday (Saturday). However, the wholesale and retail markets of Hili are not reducing the price of imported raw chillies, but the price of domestic chillies has been affected to some extent.

It is seen that the supply of raw chillies has increased in the shops but the imported chillies are being sold at Tk 120 per kg. .

A buyer named Belal, who came to buy raw chillies in Healy market, said, "I thought the price would go down when I heard that raw chillies were being imported." When I came to the market, I saw that the price was the same. Even after importing, we have to suffer because the price is high.

Abdul Majid, a retailer in Healy, said the price of local chilli has come down a bit, but the price will return to normal in a day or two. On the other hand, as the import has just started, LC pepper is being sold at 120 rupees per kg.

Harun Ur Rashid Harun, president of the Healy Land Port Import-Export Group, said the import of raw chillies has started through the Healy land port from Saturday. The importer of Healy port has made more and more raw chilli LC. The price will become more normal if the LC chillies enter the country.
