News Desk: The activities of the bank will be closed next Sunday (August 1) and Wednesday (August 4) to prevent the spread of the epidemic coronavirus. In coordination with the bank, the regulator has decided to close trading in the capital market on Sunday (August 1), the first working day of next week, and on Wednesday (August 4), the fourth working day.
Mohammad Rezaul Karim, executive director of the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC), confirmed the matter on Wednesday (July 26th).
However, on August 2, 3 and 5, capital market transactions have been extended by one hour to 2 pm. Bangladesh Bank has increased the transaction time of all banks up to two and a half hours.
Note that as per the instructions given by the Department of Site Supervision of Bangladesh Bank on Wednesday (July 26), the bank will be closed on August 1 and 4. Besides, transactions will be done in the bank on August 2, 3 and 5 from 10 am to 2.30 pm. The bank can be kept open till 4 pm to complete the post-transaction ancillary activities.
