The stock market will remain open in line with the bank's activities in all-out lockdown

News Desk: Trading in the stock market will be four days a week in line with the bank's activities in the overall lockdown. Besides, the stock market will be closed on Thursday due to bank holiday and on Friday, Saturday and Sunday due to bank closure. The stock market will start from Monday, the transaction will continue till 1 pm.

The capital market regulator Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) has set a new schedule. According to the schedule, trading in the stock market will continue from 10 am to 1 pm.
In this regard, BSEC Executive Director and Spokesperson Mohammad Rezaul Karim said, the new schedule will be implemented from next Monday.

He added that trading in the stock market would be closed on Thursday due to the bank holiday. The bank will be closed on Sunday as per the instructions of Bangladesh Bank. The stock market will be traded from 10 am to 1 pm from next Monday. According to the current rules, the transaction will have a 15-minute pre-opening session and a 15-minute post-closing session at the end of the transaction.
