Seminar on Banglabandha Land Port e-Payment held

Tentulia (Panchagarh) Correspondent: A seminar on e-payment has been held at Banglabandha, the only quadrilateral land port in the country. The seminar was held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the hall of the land port on the activities of the e-payment system implemented by the National Board of Revenue to facilitate the payment of taxes, fees and charges.

The seminar was chaired by Mobin-ul-Islam, Assistant Commissioner, Land Ports and conducted by Abdul Momin, Assistant Programmer, Rangpur Divisional Customs Excise and VAT Commissionerate. Revenue Officer of Banglabandha Land Port Abu Bakar Siddique, Ratan Kumar Shil, Assistant Revenue Officer Soheb Ali, Abdul Alim, Sujan Chandra Upadhyay, Pinku Roy and others were present. About 100 port related members including Belal took part in the seminar. From July 1 at the seminar, land port C&F and importers-exporters will be able to transfer money quickly from any time and from anywhere through e-payment.

Sabuktagin Shakil, Senior Principal Officer, Sonali Bank, said that from now on, people of various professions including CNDF, importers and exporters of the port will be able to transact through Sonali Bank's own apps e-Vault and Bikash Apps (e-Payment).
