Of the victims, 18 are Indians. "We are announcing a temporary moratorium on the entry of Indian passengers into New Zealand," Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern told a news conference on Thursday.

The ban will take effect on April 11 and will remain in effect until April 28. The government will review what steps should be taken for risk management to re-introduce travel.
