News Desk: Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Salih pays tribute to the heroic martyrs at the National Memorial. He paid homage at the National Memorial at 10:15 am on Wednesday. The President of Maldives arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 8:30 am to attend the centenary of the birth of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the golden jubilee of independence. He was received at the airport by President Abdul Hamid, Law Minister Anisul Haque, Foreign Minister.

Ake Abdul Momen, Education Minister. Dipu Moni, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam, and other high-ranking officials. Later, the national anthem of the two countries was played and a guard of honor was given to the President of Maldives. At this time he visited the guard. The Maldivian President's convoy then left the airport for the Savar National Memorial. On his return from Savar, the President of Maldives will pay homage to the portrait of Bangabandhu at Dhanmondi No. 32.

In the afternoon, Ibrahim Mohamed Salih will address a function on the occasion of Bangabandhu's birth centenary and the golden jubilee of independence at the National Parade Ground. President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will also be present on the occasion. The Maldivian president will hold a meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday morning. After meeting the President in the evening, he will attend a state banquet at Bangabhaban hosted by him.

Later you will also enjoy cultural programs. The Maldivian president will return to the country that night after the visit. During the 10-day event, Sri Lankan Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa on March 19, Nepal's President Vidya Devi Bhandari on March 22, Bhutan's Prime Minister Dr. Lotte Shering and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will join on March 26.
