The President of Maldives arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 8:30 am to attend the centenary of the birth of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the golden jubilee of independence. In the afternoon, Ibrahim Mohamed Salih will address a function on the occasion of Bangabandhu's birth centenary and the golden jubilee of independence at the National Parade Ground. President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will also be present on the occasion. The Maldivian president will hold a meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday morning. After meeting the President in the evening, he will attend a state banquet at Bangabhaban hosted by him.
