Ministry of Education warns of rumors of giving money to students

News Desk: Each student will be paid Tk 10,000 - the Ministry of Education has requested not to listen to such rumors.

In a notification on Monday, the ministry warned about the rumors. It has been said that each student will be paid taka 10,000 - such a rumor is being spread through social media which is untrue.

It further said that in accordance with the revised policy of providing grants to educational institutions, teachers-students and students-2020, educational institutions, teachers-employees, students have been invited to apply online (www.shed.gov.bd). Sunday was the last day to accept the application. But the authorities have extended the application period till March 15, 2021.

According to the Ministry of Education, a limited number of individuals and institutions will be given grants after screening the applications. It was specially requested not to listen to any kind of rumors in this regard.
