Husband cut his wife into 6 pieces in Gazipur!

News Desk: Joydebpur police have recovered seven pieces of body of a housewife named Rehana Akter from Manipur in Gazipur Sadar upazila. Jewel Ahmed, the husband of the deceased, has been arrested in the incident.

The body parts were recovered from three different places in the Upazila on Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Rehana Akter, daughter of Abdul Malek of Kachirgati village under Palash union of Bishwambharpur police station in Sunamganj and Jewel, son of Abdul Baten of the same village. Joydebpur police sub-inspector at the end of the initial interrogation of Jewel. Rakibul Islam said, about Rehana and Jewel. They ran away and got married two years ago and started renting Zakir Hossain's house in Manipur area of ​​Gazipur.

Rehana committed suicide last Thursday due to a family quarrel. Fearing of being trapped, Jewel left Rehana's body in six pieces in sacks around the house. Police Inspector Nazmul Huda said the husband was arrested after locals informed him about the incident over the phone.

According to his confession, seven pieces of the body were recovered by searching around the rented house. Legal action will be taken after investigating whether the incident was murder or suicide.
