Buddhist community leaders exchanged greetings with the Prime Minister

News desk: Leaders of the Buddhist community exchanged greetings with Prime Minister Tariq Rahman. This exchange of greetings was held today at 10 am in the Public Administration meeting room of the Cabinet Division of the Bangladesh Secretariat.

Additional Press Secretary of Prime Minister Atiqur Rahman Rumon said this. He also said that they exchanged greetings on the occasion of Buddha Purnima. During this time, various measures of the government for communal harmony and socio-economic development of the Buddhist community were discussed.

During the exchange of greetings, Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed, Religion Minister Shah Mofazzal Hossain Kaykobad, Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Minister Dipen Dewan, State Minister Mir Helal Uddin, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Hindu, Buddhist, Christian and Ethnic Affairs Bijan Kanti Sarkar, Hill District Bandarban Member of Parliament Saching Pru Jeri, BNP-nominated reserved women parliamentarian from the hill region. Candidate Madhavi Marma and Dr. Sukomal Barua was present.

‎On this occasion, a greeting crest and a reflection of the Buddha image were handed over to the Prime Minister by the Buddhist community.
