A chance of hail with thunder, a few days of gale warning

News Desk The Meteorological Department has temporarily forecast gale force winds, lightning and hailstorm in different parts of the country. According to the agency, the low pressure area is located over West Bengal and adjoining areas. Also, the seasonal normal low pressure is active over the South Bay of Bengal, which may influence this weather change.

The forecast for the next 24 hours from 9:00 am on Thursday (March 19) states that there may be temporary rain or thundershowers with gusty winds in some places of Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and in two places of Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions. At this time, there is a chance of scattered hailstorms. However, day temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country and night temperatures may increase slightly.

From Friday (March 20) to Saturday, the forecast says that there will be chances of rain with thunder in some places in all the eight divisions of the country. At this time, gusty winds and lightning may also occur. At the same time, there is a risk of isolated hailstorm. During these two days the day and night temperature may drop slightly.

According to Sunday's forecast, some places of Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and one or two places of other divisions may experience rain with thunder. The day and night temperature may increase slightly.

By Monday, the trend of rain may decrease. Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna and Sylhet divisions may receive rain at one or two places, but the weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy skies in other parts of the country. At this time, day and night temperatures may increase slightly again.
