News Desk: Faisal Karim Masud, also known as Rahul, the main accused and the primary shooter in the murder case of Sharif Osman Bin Hadi—convener of the Inqilab Manch—has been arrested in India. Bangladesh’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed this information to Rumor Scanner. Meanwhile, a photo is being circulated on social media claiming to show Faisal together with Inqilab Manch leader Fatima Tasnim Juma.

According to an investigation by the Rumor Scanner team, the photo of Juma with Faisal is not real. In fact, the image was created using AI and is being circulated online.

During the investigation, Rumor Scanner reviewed the posts spreading the claim but found no information sources supporting it. Relevant keyword searches also did not reveal any reliable evidence supporting the claim.

Later, while tracing the origin of the photo card, investigators found that it was posted last night from a Facebook page named “GojobVision.”

Upon reviewing the GojobVision page, it was identified as a satire or parody page.

This confirms that the posts in question were originally created as satirical content.

Rumor Scanner also examined the circulated image using SynthID, an AI-generated content detection tool from Google’s Gemini. Gemini reported that the image was created or edited using Google’s AI technology.

Google’s SynthID technology embeds invisible digital watermarks into AI-generated images, videos, audio, or text. Although these watermarks cannot be seen with the naked eye, they can be detected using specialized technology. According to Google, the watermark is embedded at the moment the content is created and remains even after edits such as cropping, applying filters, or changing frame rates. To check whether an image was created or edited using Google AI, users can upload it to Gemini and ask if it contains a SynthID watermark.

Therefore, the photo showing Juma with Faisal is AI-generated.
