The influx of remittances around Eid, 13 thousand 41 crores came in one week

News Desk:The flow of expatriate income or remittances has dropped in the country around the holy Ramadan and upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr. In the first seven days of this month (March), remittances came in at 106.9 million US dollars, which is 13,418 million taka in Bangladeshi currency (122 taka per dollar). Out of this, 3 thousand 843 crores came in the last 3 days (March 5 to 7).

This information was reported from Bangladesh Bank on Sunday (March 8) afternoon.

The bankers pointed out that there is a positive impact on the foreign exchange reserves due to the increase in remittance flow.

According to Bangladesh Bank data, remittances came in at 77.5 million dollars in the first seven days of March last year. Accordingly, remittance increased by 37.90 percent in seven days of March this year.

On the other hand, from July 1 to March 7 of the current financial year, remittances have reached 2,352,300,000 dollars. During this period of the last fiscal year, 1 thousand 926 crore 4 million dollars remittance came.
