“I Will Give My Life, But Won’t Let Twenty-Four Be Lost”: Jamaat Chief

News Desk: Dr. Shafiqul Rahman, Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami, has stated that through many sacrifices and struggles, they achieved “Chobbish” (twenty-four). “If necessary, we will give our lives, but we will not let Chobbish be lost,” he said while attending an iftar gathering of the Khilafat Majlish on Friday.
Dr. Shafiqul Rahman emphasized that without Chobbish, events like the current iftar gathering, Jamuna, the Interim Government, and the 2026 elections would not exist, as Chobbish is their foundation.
He further stated that Chobbish has changed the lives of people, with countless fighters laying down their lives to support them, and no one will succeed through injustice. “This will not happen in Bangladesh again,” he added.
The Jamaat chief also said that the organization will provide full support for good causes, and against wrongdoing, they will not only protest but, if necessary, resist.
