Benapole Correspondent: A South Korean citizen, Simko Yong, has come to Bangladesh drawn by a friend’s love and affection. Traveling 3,918 kilometers by air, he reached Rajnagar village in Sharsha Upazila, Jessore, to visit Mukul Hossain’s home.
Early Thursday morning, he arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, where Mukul Hossain received him and brought him to his residence around 10 a.m. His arrival created a festive atmosphere in the local area, attracting many people curious to see the foreign guest.
Responding to journalists’ questions, Mukul Hossain said, “He worked for 12 years at a company in South Korea. The owner of that company, Simko Yong, has come to Bangladesh out of personal affection and friendship.”
Expressing his feelings about Bangladesh, Simko Yong said, “Bangladesh is a very beautiful country. The people here are very kind and friendly. I really like Bangladesh.”
Locals expressed that they were extremely happy and thrilled to see a foreign citizen visiting their area.
