Lowest Temperature Recorded in Lalmonirhat; Cold May Intensify Further

News Desk: Lalmonirhat recorded the country’s lowest temperature at 13.5°C on Monday (1 December) morning.

Subel Chandra Sarkar, acting officer of the Kurigram Rajarhat Agricultural Weather Observatory, said that the temperature in Lalmonirhat dropped to 13.5°C in the morning and may fall further over the next few days. Dense fog is also expected to persist.

Locals reported that heavy fog blanketed Lalmonirhat Sadar and all five upazilas from dawn. From 6 AM to 9 AM, fog descended like light drizzle. Due to poor visibility, vehicles on the Lalmonirhat–Burimari highway and regional roads were forced to move slowly with headlights on throughout the day.
