Faridpur Correspondent: An unprecedented and strict security cordon has been established in Bhanga, Faridpur. Four platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have been deployed to ensure overall law and order and security. In addition, police, RAB, the army, and intelligence agency personnel are diligently performing their duties.
Since Monday morning, police and other law enforcement personnel have been on alert at Bhanga Gol Chattar and various key points on the Dhaka–Khulna and Dhaka–Barishal highways. So far, no incidents of disorder or road blockages have occurred, and traffic is running completely normally.
At around 9:30 a.m., DIG of Dhaka Range, Rezaul Karim Malik, visited Bhanga Gol Chattar for inspection. Police Superintendent Md. Abdul Jalil and other senior officers were present with him.
DIG Rezaul Karim Malik stated that all strict measures have been taken to protect the life and property of the public. He confirmed that, in addition to four platoons of BGB, police, RAB, army, and intelligence personnel have been deployed to maintain overall law and order.
