Nine Bodies Recovered from the Second Floor of a Garment Factory.

News Desk: Nine people have died in a fire at a garment factory and chemical warehouse in Rupnagar, Mirpur, Dhaka. Several others have been injured in the incident.

Talha Bin Jasim, Acting Officer of the Media Cell at the Fire Service Headquarters, confirmed the information on Tuesday, stating that nine people have so far lost their lives, with more details to follow.

Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Tajul Islam Chowdhury, Director (Operations and Maintenance) of the Fire Service, said that the bodies of nine victims were recovered from the second floor of the garment factory.

Twelve Fire Service units are working to bring the blaze under control. The Fire Service received reports of the fire at 11:40 a.m., and the first unit reached the site at 11:56 a.m.
