BNP leader Shubho Siddiqui purchased nomination papers as an independent candidate.

Following the announcement of the election schedule, political parties across the country have already begun extensive election campaigns and various activities.

In the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election, although BNP did not give him the party nomination for Jamalpur-3 (Melandah-Madariganj) constituency, Sadikur Rahman Siddiqui Shubho has collected nomination papers as an independent candidate.

He collected the nomination form yesterday, Wednesday afternoon, from the Melandah Upazila Election Office.

Sadikur Rahman Siddiqui Shubho is the Joint General Secretary of Melandah Upazila BNP. He had sought the BNP nomination but, after not receiving it, decided to contest as an independent candidate.

During this time, Shubho said, “I had requested the nomination from BNP, but it was not granted. Therefore, in order to meet the local people’s demands and establish good governance, I am contesting the 13th National Parliamentary Election as an independent candidate. Inshallah, I will remain active till the end. I have requested prayers from everyone.”

While collecting the nomination form, Faruk Hossain (Vice President of Ghosherpara Union BNP), Md. Masud (Member of Ghosherpara Union Parishad), Sohel Rana (former President of South Africa Thana Jubo Dal), and youth leaders Moniruzzaman, Nur Haque, Monaj Uddin Minhaj, Rejnu Hasan, and Zahid Siddiqui, along with people from various professions, were present.

It is noted that, according to the Election Commission’s announced schedule, the nationwide process for collecting and submitting nomination papers for the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election is ongoing.
