News Desk: Dhaka University (DU) Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Niyaz Ahmed Khan said, "We've faced adversities at various times. We're still navigating tough challenges. But national days like Victory Day unite us all."

He shared these thoughts with the media on Tuesday (December 16) after paying respects at the National Martyrs' Memorial on Great Victory Day.

Pointing out that a discrimination-free society hasn't been established yet, he added, "People are still trying to pit us against each other for selfish gains. We don't want division."

At the event, DUCSU Vice President Sadik Kayem remarked, "On our independent soil, we hoped to build a country based on justice. But that hasn't happened. On this Victory Day, we pledge to bring those who turned Bangladesh into a dysfunctional state over the past 54 years to justice and establish fairness."

DUCSU General Secretary SSM Farhad said, "Even 54 years after victory, we haven't achieved a just Bangladesh. Our fight will continue to build a future Bangladesh rooted in justice."BACKGROUND-AND-CONTEXT.pdf​
